A Day in the Life of a Pet Sitter: Behind the Scenes at Just Making Smiles

Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes at Just Making Smiles? Here’s a little peek into one of our days.

We usually start bright and early with potty breaks and breakfast - each dog has their own routine and diet. So, mornings are busy but always smooth with a little planning. Then it’s time for walks, playgroups, and enrichment sessions based on age, energy level, and personality. Some dogs love to fetch. Others prefer a sniffari in the yard or a cuddle session on the couch.

Throughout the day, we’re also handling pet sitting visits, transport, and making sure everyone here is mentally and physically fulfilled with short naps in between.

We regularly share photos and updates on our business Instagram account, which is linked to both our Facebook business page and our website. That way, pet parents can check in on their pups anytime, in whatever way is most convenient for them.

It’s a full day, but we love it - and so do the dogs.
