Frequently Asked Question
Everything you want to know about our pet sitting, dog daycare, dog walking (Midday Dog Walks & Drop-In Visits), and more—right here in one place.
We begin with a brief phone call after you submit our contact form to discuss your pet's specific needs. If we’re a good match, I will send you a link to our Time To Pet portal to complete the necessary paperwork and upload vaccination records. Once your profile is complete, we schedule an in-person meeting: For Walking/Sitting: I visit your home to learn your pet’s routine, leash locations, and entry access. For Daycare/Boarding: We schedule a "trial day" during one of our lighter sessions. This allows your dog to get comfortable and receive our full focus before being introduced to our full group of guests. All vaccinations and releases must be finalized in the portal before the in-person meeting or trial day can occur. #JustMakingSmiles
Yes—dogs must complete a successful trial day before boarding or daycare. These are scheduled when fewer dogs are present so we can give your pup individual attention.
All dogs over 5 months old must be spayed or neutered and up to date on Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, canine influenza and be on appropriate flea tick and heartworm medicine to participate in group care. Records can be uploaded via the intake form.
Yes—but only for individual services (e.g., private walks, drop-ins, transport). Dogs over 5 months must be altered to join group activities like daycare or boarding.
In special cases, we can offer one-on-one care or limited interaction if it’s safe and feasible. Reach out to discuss your specific situation.
We specialize in social care, so dogs should generally be comfortable in a group. Dogs that need some solo time are fine—we have space for breaks.
We do not offer long-term isolated boarding (those spaces are reserved for fosters).
Please provide enough food for the duration of the stay (plus a little extra just in case!) in a labeled, airtight container.
You are welcome to bring labeled medications orsupplements, as well as any prescription treats your dog requires.
Please provide any walking harnesses, gentle leaders, or other tools you use for walking your pup. Please label items with your dog's name.
We provide all bowls, slow feeders, cozy bedding, and plenty of toys!. #JustMakingSmiles
To ensure everything stays clean and organized, please leave all personal bedding, towels, and toys at home. Safety First: In a multi-dog environment, personal items can easily be misplaced or damaged, so we provide high-quality, durable options for everyone to share. Leash Safety: I use my own professional-grade leads for all walks and transitions. I will meet your vehicle to transition your pup onto my lead; you can then take your leash with you. No Retractables: For safety reasons, retractable leashes are not permitted at any time. #JustMakingSmiles
Yes! We follow any provided routines. We also have raised bowls, slow feeders, etc., available.
We post regular photos of all guests on our social media so pet parents can follow along.
